What is hair transplantation?
Hair transplantation involves taking existing hair on the back of the head and transplanting it to areas of hair loss. The hairs then take root at their new site and begin to grow naturally. Hair transplants are permanent, and with our advanced technology, skill, and artistry, look very natural.
Hair transplantation is a minimally invasive procedure that requires no general anesthesia and little downtime. During the first month, the hairs may fall out, but this is normal because of natural hair growth cycles. Over time, you should see nice hair growth in the areas that were once balding.

With follicular unit extraction, groupings of up to 4 hairs are individually extracted and then placed into areas of desired hair growth. NeoGraft candidate criteria
Ideal candidates for NeoGraft hair transplants still have some hair left. If you are completely bald, unfortunately, hair transplantation is not an option for you. In addition, good candidates tend to be over the age of 25. The reason for this is that while transplanted hair will not fall out, surrounding hair will continue to be lost, which may result in an unnatural appearance and require further treatment. Generally, hair loss patterns are established after the age of 25, and your surgeon will be able to transplant your hair in a way that will continue to look natural.

It is important to be realistic about a hair transplant procedure. Since it is utilizing existing hair, there are limits to how full of a head of hair you can achieve. Most surgeons will utilize strategic placement to give the illusion of fuller hair, rather than trying to simply place as many units as possible.
PRP for hair loss
If you have thinning hair but are not in need of a full transplant procedure yet, or if you want to supplement your transplant results, PRP injections are an option. PRP, also known as platelet-rich plasma, contains energy and growth factors that can help stimulate dormant hair follicles. PRP injections are a cutting-edge treatment and can be an alternative to topical medications and surgical hair transplantation.
PRP injections are virtually painless, and take around 15 minutes to perform. We will draw a blood sample, use a special tool to extract the platelets, and inject into strategic areas to stimulate hair growth. We generally recommend 3 treatments spaced 2 weeks apart, and new hair growth can usually be seen within 3 months. Ask us if you are a candidate for this procedure.
