Why go through a large surgical procedure to lift areas of the face and neck when a nonsurgical procedure can be performed in the office to create a noticeable improvement. The Silhouette InstaLift uses suture threads that are inserted into the face under a local anesthetic. There are tiny cones on the suture that help lift the surrounding tissue, creating a rejuvenated appearance in under an hour. Over time, the thread and cones dissolve, leaving the newly formed collagen growth to help hold the tissue in place.
The threads can be used in three general areas – the cheeks, the jowls, and the neck. After injecting the numbing agent, a pair of needles are inserted in the desired area. The suture thread is inside of the needle, so when the needle is removed, the suture is left in place. Then a gentle upwards massage seats it into position. That’s all there is to it. You will see the results immediately.
It’s important to have realistic expectations. The InstaLift or threadlift can’t give you what a facelift can provide, but a facelift involves considerably more surgery, recovery time, and cost. Also, since the sutures dissolve, the results of the Instalift last for about a year or two, after which the procedure can be repeated. A facelift generally lasts for 5-10 years. So if you are not ready for surgery but want something to improve your appearance, the InstaLift could be the procedure for you.
Until recently, surgery was the only way to address facial skin laxity—conditions like jowls or drooping cheeks. Now, threadlift fills the gap between noninvasive facial rejuvenation and facelift surgery. Rapid recovery, greater affordability and lower risk are among its benefits.
The recovery for the InstaLift or threadlift is pretty simple. For 3-7 days, you may experience some mild swelling or bruising, as well as minimal discomfort. It is important to try to restrict facial movement for a few days as well to allow the sutures to stay in good position.

FAQs
Are There Any InstaLift™ Side Effects?
Instalift sutures are FDA-approved and serious complications are rare, but potential side effects can include minor bruising, swelling, bleeding or discomfort. Dimpling can occur where sutures are placed, but this typically lasts from a few days to a couple of weeks.
How Long Does InstaLift™ Take?
Under an hour for the face, under a half-hour for the neck area.
What Is Recovery Like After InstaLift™?
Some soreness can be expected for a couple of days after the procedure. Daily activities can be resumed comfortably within a day or two.
How Long Do InstaLift™ Results Last?
Sutures placed during treatment hold for as long as 18 months. Because the procedure can also help the body replenish its collagen, results can be expected to last even longer.
Does InstaLift™ Require General Anesthesia?
No; the Instalift procedure is done under local anesthesia.
Will I Need To Stay Overnight After InstaLift™
No. You will not need to stay overnight but can return home almost immediately after.
How Long Is The Recovery Time?
Following the Silhouette InstaLift, patients can go back to their daily routine within 48 hours. However, in most patients, it takes around 10 days for your face to get back to its normal state and for all signs of the procedure to disappear.
Am I An Ideal Patient For InstaLift™?
If you are around 40-years-old, or notice sagging skin on your face, or are losing the oval shape of your face, you may benefit from an InstaLift™.
